As a manual lifting tool, the chain hoist often encounters various problems during long-term and frequent use, and slipping of the chain hoist is one of the common problems. So what is the reason for the manual hoist slipping? How to solve it?
The reason for the slipping of the chain hoist:
1. There is a brake pad installed inside the chain hoist, with a ratchet below the brake pad and a pawl next to the ratchet. If the spring on the pawl is loose, it will cause the chain hoist to not brake, brake failure, and slip;
2. The friction plate of the hand chain hoist will continue to wear and tear during long-term use. The friction plate of the poor quality hoist is prone to wear and tear, and will continuously become thinner, resulting in a decrease in friction coefficient and slipping phenomenon;
3. If the friction plate of the chain hoist is coated with oil, the friction coefficient will also decrease, leading to slipping;
4. Due to improper maintenance or operation, the structure of the chain hoist may become loose, causing the friction plate to slip in a dangerous working condition for a long time.
Solution:
1. If the pawl spring is loose, the spring can be replaced;
2. If the frequency of using the chain hoist is too high, it is recommended to conduct a weekly inspection;
3. If oil is found on the friction plate, it is recommended to replace it immediately;
4. Of course, the fundamental solution to the problem of slipping of chain hoists is to choose high-quality chain hoists.
